Bacon Maple Popcorn
Popcorn Recipe Ingredients:
1/2 cup chopped bacon
1/2 cup maple syrup
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) unsalted butter
1 tsp sea salt
Popcorn Recipe Directions:
Heat the oven to 250°F. Line a 10x15 baking sheet with parchment paper. Spread Gaslamp Popcorn into a single layer on the baking sheet. Sprinkle chopped bacon on top of the popcorn. Set aside.
In a heavy bottom pan over medium heat, melt the syrup and butter. Bring to a simmer, and continue to cook for 3 minutes, then remove from heat and stir in sea salt. Pour over the popcorn and bacon mixture and stir.
Bake in a 250°F oven for 40 minutes, stirring frequently, until syrup has started to harden. Remove from oven and toss. Transfer to a parchment-lined platter and break apart large pieces. Serve.
